To make a request, please forward a letter and information about the organization requesting funds, to Merrill Lynch Canada Charitable Giving Office:

All requests will be reviewed quarterly by the Charitable Donations Committee. All charities with be contacted directly in writing after the meeting.
Charitable requests are reviewed quarterly by the Charitable Giving Committee made up of the company’s senior executives. To be eligible for funding, charities must fall into one of the categories of:

Education
- Arts/Culture
- Health/Hospitals
- Civic/Human Services
For impartiality, Merrill Lynch does not approve donations to the following types of organizations or activities:

Religious, fraternal, social or other membership organizations providing services mainly to their own constituencies

Athletic events and sports tournaments
- Fundraising activities related to individual sponsorships (ie. Walk-a-thons)
- Private foundations
- Endowment, construction and renovation projects, special purpose campaigns, chairs or purchase of major equipment
- Aid to foreign countries
- Private, Elementary and Secondary Schools
- Lobby groups, political parties and campaigns or lobby efforts
- Individuals
- Non-registered charities
- Research and Research Institutions
- For profit entities including loans for start-up and small businesses, and seed money for new organizations
- Conferences, workshops or seminars
